Founded in 2002 by internationally renowned public health expert Mr Shannon McKiernan, Assure Consulting has grown into the first choice environmental and public health consulting firm that delivers when it matters most.
At Assure Consulting we specialise in providing a broad spectrum of environmental and public health services such as food safety and quality assurance monitoring, environmental compliance, water quality management (drinking and waste water), pest and vector-borne disease management (the management and implementation of integrated mosquito control programs), and local community health services (including capacity building, health testing and monitoring).
At Assure Consulting we understand the importance of creating and maintaining environments which promote good public health. These services are fundamental in limiting the spread of disease. However, in remote, challenging or under-resourced areas, environmental health services maybe non-existent or limited.
We have extensive experience in designing and delivering environmental and public health programs globally, for both government and non-government clients, across all sectors including Food and Hospitality, Health and Beauty, Defence, Mining and Resources, Oil and Gas, Commercial, Residential and Humanitarian organisations.
From providing expert advice in West Africa as part of the global response to the Ebola outbreak through to delivering environmental and public health inspection programs throughout Australia, Assure Consulting is making a difference.

Shannon McKiernan
Shannon is an outstanding leader. He continues to develop his leadership skills through involvement as a Flight Lieutenant with Royal Australian Air Force as well as through his daily consultancy work. Shannon has worked in the professional fields of Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Health and Occupational Hygiene as both a manager and a specialist.
His efforts to assist in environmental health responses in global epidemics highlights his standing within the Public Health profession. Most recently Shannon has taken on a vital role in the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, and provided invaluable expertise during the roll out and operation of COVID-19 testing and vaccination facilities throughout Australia.
Shannon continues to further his skills and is nearing completion of a Masters of Business at the University of New South Wales.
