The global response to Ebola throughout West Africa has required world first initiatives in order to fight the spread of the disease. Designing Treatment Centres, operating under extreme conditions and developing processes and processes to ensure the safety of health workers and the public have been challenging. Assure Consulting is proud to be part of the global response and a leader in environmental health and water sanitisation and hygiene (WASH) solutions for such a crisis.
Most recently I have been assisting with the global response to Ebola throughout West Africa. Roles include the establishment of the Hastings Airport Ebola Treatment Centre in Sierra Leone in December 2014 for Aspen Medical Australia and project managing and providing water sanitization and hygiene (WASH) expert advice for 10 Ebola Treatment Units throughout Liberia in 2015 for Aspen Medical USA in partnership with Pacific Architects and Engineers (PAE). All roles from the establishment of, training and management of through to decommissioning have been carried out during the past 6 months in West Africa.
